I’m a visual artist working on personal lore and forms of storytelling. These forms lead me to craft artifacts, artificial landscapes, allegories and fictional folklore. My parents are South Korean immigrants who are part of a diaspora and drastic cultural changes that occurred in the peninsula during the World Wars and posterior politic-ideological conflicts. I search for a nostalgia of something lost, something never met, something that never arrived, and something strange. Intends to be an unusual way of documentation of past and current daily life, as a way of understanding the cultural rupture between revolution, immigration, colonization, globalization, past and present.
